Our Mission is to bring players to the table (as in, Tabletop Role-Playing Games, or TTRPGs for “short”). As more and more people learn about the wonderful world of D&D and similar games, we found that many are unable to get started due to lack of a very important component: the DM.

Let’s face it: RPGs are complicated, and intimidating to learn without help. You can read every manual out there and watch all the tutorial videos you can stomach, but nothing beats learning at the table, especially when that table is run by someone with years of hands-on experience. Here at Tabletop Now, we want to create a way for everyone to experience these games, because once you get bitten by the RPG bug, your only question left will be, “When do we play again?!”

HOW WE DO IT

Okay, so lots of people want to play D&D, right? But you need a group, and someone willing to create the campaign, build characters and exotic lands, and take care of all the stuff you didn’t even know needed to happen! That’s where we come in: send us an inquiry, and we can create a tailored RPG experience to your (or your group’s) particular needs.

Have a couple of friends who watch “Stranger Things” with you and want to learn how to play? Hubby and Wife team who miss their days playing 2nd Edition and want to see what all this 5th Edition fuss is about? Or maybe you’re just a parent with lots of friends who needs to entertain their kids after-school each week with a socializing, team-building, imaginative, epic experience your wee ones will never stop talking about? We can create a game perfect for YOU! We’ll even match individual players with others of similar experience if you want to play but don’t know anyone who’s in on the fun (yet).

Most of our campaigns are “homebrew” (meaning, we create them based on what kind of game YOU want to play), but we also offer pre-made modules or one-shot sessions if you just want a taste of what D&D is all about.

WHAT YOU GET

    First & foremost, we provide the person who will lead you on your epic adventure, guaranteeing a carefree (but also exciting) 4-6 hour session.

  • Virtual or In-Person

    If you’re local to NYC or Westchester/NJ, we’ll happily come to you! If you prefer remote (or have friends on the other side of the country), we provide multiple online resources to play virtually.

  • All Materials Provided

    No need to buy expensive manuals or spell cards (unless you want to). Tabletop Now provides everything you’ll need for your adventure, down to the pencils. We can even make your character for you.

  • Battle Maps, Terrain

    D&D is most fun with 3D environs. You’ll get to experience the battle firsthand with our terrain, encounter maps, and wide array of monster tokens.

  • A Full Sensory Experience

    Lights, Camera, Action! Play D&D in a truly immersive way with lighting effects, sound cues & musical scores, and if you’re lucky: costumes!

  • Built-in Babysitting!

    We love to run games for the YA audience. Libraries, parent groups, after-school programs: we are available for in-person visits or virtual games with kids of ALL ages.
